Coming in February to Terry Fox Theatre

February Shows at Greater Vancouver Theatre for Rent Terry Fox TheatreThis month is a month of great things: Valentine's Day, Super Bowl XLV, Year of the Metal Rabbit. Oh, and Family Day, too -- not in BC, yet, but they say it's coming. There are also several great things happening at the Terry Fox Theatre in beautiful Port Coquitlam!

We ended off January with a bang, hosting country music star and former professional hockey player Chad Brownlee as a part of the Sunday Coffee Concert series. The series, presented by the City of Port Coquitlam, continues to represent refined vocal talent throughout the month of February, featuring the Felice Women's Choir and The Gospel Experience. We've got a few other things in store for you as well, in the form of some great music, dance, and some fun for the kids. Check out the full list below:

Saturday: February 12th

Salina Cheng Music Academy is presenting its annual recital, featuring both staff and students. This music academy features some great quality music and musicians and is free at the door.

Sunday: February 13th

Celebrate love, Valentine's Day and Spirit Week with the debut performance of the Felice Women's Choir. Felice is a fantastic community-based choir that performs everything from classical to folk to pop, and is conducted and directed by Mr. Hyun Jung Kim. Join Felice and their special guests on this fine Sunday afternoon. This performance is presented in partnership with Terry Fox Theatre's governing body, Port Coquitlam Theatre Society.

Thursday, February 17th

We close off the week with some fantastic dance performances by the Port Moody School of Dance, as they show you what they've got before the 2011 competition season officially kicks off. If you are a fan of dance, this is where you want to be!

Saturday, February 26th

The wonderful Lisa and Linda of the Tiny Tots shows return to the Terry Fox Theatre for yet another interactive show for children, presented by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. This time around, they are featuring the music of Bartok and a string quartet. We already know how beneficial music is to children, especially at a young age, and it's bound to be fun for the parents, too!

Saturday, February 27th

Prepare yourself! The Sunday Coffee Concerts will close out the month of February with high energy gospel music that may make you swell and want to join in as the spirit takes you. The Gospel Experience brings a fresh cut at contemporary gospel that will leave you wanting more!

Take in some local culture this February. Come down to Terry Fox Theatre!
