Terry Fox Theatre’s New Website and Theatre Blog!

Welcome! We are pleased to present you with a new website and blog for Terry Fox Theatre!

The last several months have been a journey to create a fresh new look and feel for our website that captures our mission to inspire, educate and entertain members of our community. We hope that you will find this new site easy to navigate and rich with information on everything from how to rent our theatre, to getting involved as a supporter or becoming a volunteer, to what’s playing now at the Terry Fox Theatre in Port Coquitlam.

Our theatre’s blog is an exciting new addition to our website that allows us to provide you with fresh content and encourage participation in building our community. Visit this section frequently to discover more about up-and-coming theatre acts, what’s new at Terry Fox Theatre, events in our community and discussions on community theatre and the arts; both locally and abroad. Discover tips, like how to improve your live performances, get the most out of rehearsal, and captivate audiences with a single dramatic pause. Submerge yourself deeper into the riveting world of the performing arts, from travelling acts, to studio practice, to local entertainers; from music, poetry, dance, motivational speakers, headline acts, multicultural arts, and more.

We want you to experience outstanding encores, moments of revelation and the pride of watching your loved one take to the stage for the very first time. We want to let you hear our voice -- and we want to hear yours! This blog needs you! This is your community, your theatre, and your blog. Leave us comments, tell us stories, send us questions and ideas. The local theatre movement lives here, in the heart of Port Coquitlam, at the Terry Fox Theatre.

We're very proud of our work here -- and we hope that you enjoy the new Terry Fox Theatre website and our community theatre blog.

689Very interesting enousitqs you pose here, John Cow. Here's my take:1. I think that the underlying question for your first question is whether or not what you blog about makes you happy. It's always good to pick a niche and work on it, and in that case it can be considered good practice to stick to business. However, I believe that in the end, if you choose to blog about something else because it makes you happy, then feel free to. It is your blog after all, and you control what gets put there!2. I think it's always good to get to know the blogger that you are reading about. It allows you to develop a better rapport with readers, and make you more interesting than the next guy in the end. Would you rather read a blog that's all business all the time, or would you rather read a blog that ties in a bit personally? I would rather read the one that I know more personally, which is part of the reason why I continue to read John Chow he's open about all the stuff he does.. and his dot com Pho videos are hilarious!3. What gets me hooked on a blog. Tough question. I have to admit that I oftentimes judge a blog from its theme. Has the blogger put any effort into making his/her blog something that I want to look at? Next is the attitude of the blogger, which is very important to me. I'm not going to continue to read someone that trashes everyone else or just doesn't try at all. I'm going to come back for quality posts, humor, and whether or not I feel that I can interact with that blogger. That's very important to me.Great post, John Cow. I'll be back to see more results!21
