Hallowe'en is done and the month of November is upon us. November is home to all sorts of important things: Rememberance Day, moustaches, my wife's birthday, the Christmas and Holiday season countdown -- endless trips to that place where your kids hide their candy... It also happens to be a great month here in Port Coquitlam, specifically for the Terry Fox Theatre.
Here's just a few of the things we have in store:
This Thursday (tomorrow!), Port Coquitlam citizens can come down for a free meet and greet with their municipal candidates. It's a great opportunity to get a feel for the people who are interested in running our fair city!
Saturday, November 5th, will be an evening show you won't forget. A gala event that features Sadie, a fantastic international preforming artist and world renowned Belly Dancer -- not to mention instructor and choreographer.
The following weeks feature a plethora of culture to the tune of the Birth of Baha'u'lla Celebration Concert (music and dance from the Port Coquitlam Baha'i community); the North Shore Celtic Ensemble fiddle show, Transformations; Alice in a Winter Wonderland 2011 by Backstage Youth Performers Society, and this year's Shrine Fantasy Show -- world class illusionists, comedy, and music.
We're looking forward to a great month! Hope to see you there!
